75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, 1% Cabernet Franc
Fresh black currant, dark cherry, vanilla, earthy aromas. Deep pomegranate color. Attractive notes of black currant, licorice, and pencil lead create a richness with refined tannins. Perfect on its own! For complete bliss – pair it with a juicy steak!
Interesting fact:
Greg Harrington, co-owner of Gramercy Cellars in Walla Walla, as well as its lead winemaker, is a Master Sommelier! There are only 269 Master Sommeliers in the world, fewer than Formula 1 drivers! He is one of just three sommeliers in the world to earn his title at the age of 26!
Greg Harrington, along with his wife Pam, moved to Walla Walla in 2005. He chose this place to produce outstanding wines similar to those of the Old World.
Lower East is a line of wines for the mass market, but this Cabernet impressed us so much that we decided to include it in our club alongside the premium collection from Gramercy Cellars. Now, at 55, Greg has much more ahead of him, but one thing’s for sure: this guy knows his way around winemaking!
