In September 2005, the Cougar Crest family faced a life-altering tragedy when their daughter, Jessica, sustained near-fatal injuries. It was the unwavering dedication and selfless care of the medical professionals at Doernbecher Children's Hospital at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon, that gave her back her life. Since that pivotal moment, they have carried a deep sense of gratitude and a profound desire to give back to the institution that saved their daughter. This wine is named in honor of those remarkable individuals who have devoted their lives to healing and research.

In the nearly 20 years since that life-changing moment, Cougar Crest has proudly donated a portion of the proceeds from this wine to the Doernbecher Foundation, helping to support their continued, life-saving efforts.
