Fennel and grass in the nose and apple, citrus, honey and melon are the fruity tones with cream texture. Full-bodied Verdejo is prized for its herbaceous-nutty bouquet and balanced acidity with a characteristic bitterness.
Verdejo is an aromatic white grape variety, the basis of the "squeaky" white wines of the Rueda region in central Spain. Today, its vines occupy most of the region's vineyards, where it is used to produce single-varietal wines and blends in which it is accompanied by Viura and Sauvignon Blanc. Located near the banks of the river Duero in Rueda, Bodegas Menade was set up in 2005 by the Sanz siblings, 6th generation of winegrowers and producers. Marco, Richard and Alejandra are the three pillars of this environmentally aware winery focused on organic Verdejo.  “We are not going to save the world, but we take care of it”, says Richard.
